Tabidachi
UBS x VICE
This film introduces Buddhist priest Ittetsu Nemoto, who treats suicidal people by asking them to envisage their own death.
He is chief priest at Daizenji, a small temple in rural Japan. This film offers a glimpse into his process, which he calls “Tabidachi” – or “Departure”.
“If you feel like you want to die, this allows you to try dying once and see what your life is like from the outside,” he explains.
